The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru decamps from APC to PDP. He made this known on Sunday. Ikuru has worked closely with Gov. Ameachi for 8 years and splitting up at this stage prior to the Presidential election which is to take place in a few day means that there is a crackdown.
In a statement made on Sunday, the deputy governor described the APC as a party of rebels, insurgents and anarchists clothed in the robes of pretence and deceit.
He also said that since he joined the APC with other disillusioned people of the state he has been in "emotional agony".
